Box Score 2 Wyoming, MI - The JV basketball team bounced back to .500 on the year quickly over the weekend, securing two wins – one on the road vs. Cornerstone and one at home over Washtenaw CC.
In both games the Tigers led from start to finish and were in firm control of their lead until they finished with a margin of 26 and 27 points, respectively.
Brendan Nesbary had the highlight of the year thus far at Cornerstone, with a euro step move finished with a dunk, and followed on Saturday with a team high 12 points. On Saturday, all 14 Tigers in the box score were able to put points on the board, and the Tigers outrebounded Washtenaw 49-27.
Julian Hardy,
Trenton Rembert, and
Michael Donald all joined Brendan in double figures with 11, 11, and 10, respectively.
Devin Bartee led the Tigers with 29 points against Cornerstone.
"We got outrebounded our previous game and put a lot of work into that and it showed in these two games," commented Head Coach
Karlion Jackson.
The JV team moves to 2-2 on the year heading into a match-up on the road with Spring Arbor University Tuesday night at 7:00 pm.
