Box Score 2 Toccoa Falls, GA - The Grace Christian Men's Soccer team capped off their regular season last weekend in Georgia with two huge NCCAA games against #4 Pensacola Christian College and Toccoa Falls College.
The Tigers were able to put together 90 minutes of high quality play against the Pensacola Christian Eagles in game one to secure a 3-1 win. Nate Davis scored two goals for the Tigers against Pensacola and
Isaiah Ford recorded a goal.
"We anticipated a fast physical game, and we knew we needed to be disciplined and go at it – and we did," said Head Coach
Dustin Buchanan.
Against the host Toccoa Falls College, a late goal conceded resulted in a 4-4 tie. Davis added another goal, Caden Petroeje added two goals, and
Camden Bierling scored a goal (on an assist from
Austin Engel) and had an assist from the center back position.
"After going up 2-0 we made some crucial errors to give up some self-inflicted goals, and created a very momentum shifting back and forth game vs. Toccoa," said Head Coach
Dustin Buchanan. "I'm still proud of the fight and commitment after the letdown of going down 3-2 to recapture the lead before the unfortunate late goal."
The Tigers finish their regular season 8-6-3. They now head into the Midwest Regional Tournament semifinal game against #2 seed Emmaus University on Friday afternoon at their home Velting Field at 3:00 pm Friday.
