Wyoming, MI - The Grace Women's Basketball team secured their second win of the season against Central Christian College of the Bible on Saturday afternoon. Although trailing by six at the half, the Tigers played a solid third quarter of basketball as they outscored Central Christian 15-3, leading them to a 50-43 victory.
The Saints and Tigers battled back and forth in the first 10 minutes, ending the first quarter in a 13-13 tie. The battle continued into quarter two, but the Saints outscored Grace 14-8, giving them a 6 point lead at halftime. The Tigers played a dominant third quarter, outscoring the Saints 15-3. Both teams continued to put up a fight late into the fourth quarter, but the Tigers would ultimately claim their 6 point victory.
Three Tigers scored 10 or more points, with
Emilee Klacking leading with 15,
Jessi Calizo with 13, and
Sierra Fonseca with 10.
Julia Schultz dominated the glass with 14 rebounds.
Grace will play its final game before Christmas break on Friday, December 20th against Defiance College at the Aldrich AC with tip-off at 5pm.
