Lansing, MI - The Grace Tigers were on the road Friday evening for a matchup against NCCAA DII rival Great Lakes Christian College. A strong start for the Tigers resulted in a 4 point lead at the end of the first quarter. The Crusaders continued to fire back as they hit some big shots in the second quarter. However, Grace would hold the lead at the half, 27-24.
The second half remained just as competitive, as Great Lakes tied it up and pulled ahead. Unable to hit the shots they needed at the end, the Tigers fell 46-50 to the Crusaders.
Lily Helmuth led Grace with 18 points.
Jada Reese had another big night with her second double-double in a row, 15 points and 10 rebounds.
The Tigers travel to Whiting, IN on Monday night as they face Calumet College of St. Joseph at 4PM CST. They will then return home for another big rivalry match up against Kuyper College on Thursday evening.
