Wyoming, MI - Torrance Walling of Pennfield High School is the newest addition to Grace Christian Softball's second ever recruiting class. Walling, daughter of Matt and Heather Walling, is from Battle Creek, MI. The 5'8" catcher, who also plays first and third base, began playing travel softball at the age of 11. She played for travel teams such as the Shamrocks, Blues, and most recently, Rise Above.
With a batting average of .467, Walling earned all-conference honors in high school. Along with softball, she also played high school basketball, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was a Link Leader. On signing for the Tigers, Torrance stated, "I am so grateful and excited about coming to GCU to continue playing the sport I love and having my family and friends with me throughout my journey."
"Tori is a versatile fielder with a big bat," says Coach Jeremy Clark. "Another thing she'll bring to Grace is a competitive, team-first attitude. She is a great addition to Grace softball's second recruiting class!"
