Tigers Fall in Midweek Match-Up

Olivet, MI - Following a competitive loss at home to the KVCC Cougars, the Tigers traveled last night on the road to take on The University of Olivet Comets. 

The Tigers fought hard and competed to the final point but would ultimately drop the match three sets to none. The set scores read 18-25, 19-25, and 19-25. Despite the outcome there were a lot of positives from the match. 

Morgan Martin led the way with 7 kills, while Alexa Borgman was close behind with 6. Setter Lily Hulst collected 23 assists on the day, and Libero Kyrsten Nolen finished the day with 17 digs.

"I believe we put up a strong offensive front against a tough team. We didn't shy away from hitting and we continuously pushed aggressive attacks to bring the other team 'out of system' throughout the match," said senior Outside Hitter, and team captain Triston Murray. 

With the loss the Tigers fall to 1-3 on the season but they look to bounce back quickly as they are back in action at Montcalm CC on Thursday, September 12, and again at home Friday, September 13 for a doubleheader with Moody Bible Institute and Kuyper College.
