Wyoming, MI - Following a convincing sweep at home against the Cardinals from Andrews University, the Tigers took the court again for a rematch against the Montcalm Community College Centurions. 

These two teams met for the first time this season a week ago on September 12, and played three very competitive sets ending in a sweep by the Centurions. 

Tigers bounced back and got their revenge this time around and ended up winning by the scores of 26-24, 25-23, and completing the sweep with a 25-21 victory. 

Key performers in the match were senior Morgan Martin with 14 kills, senior Alexa Borgman with 8 kills and freshman Madison Postma with 5 kills. Setter Lily Hulst also had an outstanding day offensively tallying 26 assists. 

"I think our mentality is that I know if I do my job to the best of my ability all I have to do is trust my teammates to do theirs. Every single person on and off the court contributed to a huge win. If you look back at the last time we played them (last week) we got swept and we came back this week and swept them. I think that goes to show how much we trust each other and how it creates such a strong bond between us all," said Alexa Borgman. 

Borgman went on to add the reminder that her and the rest of the team play for an "audience of one" and that has been a big point of emphasis for them through this season. 

With the win, the Tigers improved to 4-4 on the year, and their next match up is set for September 24, 7:00pm, at Kuyper College.
