Ann Arbor, MI - The Tigers continued their early season on the road vs NAIA Concordia University Ann Arbor. Within 3 minutes Grace found themselves in a 0-1 deficit. The Cardinal goal came off of a solid counter after the Tigers created chance. After the first goal, the Tigers create a couple solid chances earning more corners than the hosts with a even match going into the half with the 0-1 scoreline.
"We did not have a great start, mainly in conceding the goal, but found ourselves and created a few decent chances in the first," stated Coach Buchanan. "We knew some adjustments to make, and needed to clean up our play a bit going into the second. Concordia was very lively with a lot of energy and quality in the midfield. Unfortunately, our second half performance was not good enough. We had too many unforced errors and did not play a clean enough second half, which you can't do against a quality opponent and Concordia punished us for it. We did some good things in moments but have to be able find those more sustain the quality play throughout the match. There will be a lot we can learn and apply going forward."
Concordia would control much of the second half, find second goal from a great strike just outside of the 18. They would then earn a penalty kick late on in the match to hand the Tigers a 0-3 loss. Grace will now play their first home match of the season Friday, the 6th as rescheduled from last week vs Ohio Christian University.
