Dearborn, MI - The men's basketball team has seen plenty of competitive back and forth matches this season, and Saturday evening was no different. The Tigers traveled to Dearborn to face NAIA opponent University of Michigan-Dearborn.
It was a back and forth battle between the Tigers and Wolverines throughout the first half, but the Wolverines would go into halftime with a 3 point lead, 37-34. With 5 minutes to go in the second half, Grace would find themselves up by 4, but UM-Dearborn would hit some key free throws to regain their lead, shooting 79% from the free throw line. The Wolverines secured an 80-74 victory over the Tigers.
Bankeys Omari led the Tigers' efforts with a double double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Quay Humphries came off the bench for 15 points, while
Zac Yorke added 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Tigers look to snap their 7-game losing streak on Tuesday as they travel to Lansing for an NCCAA rivalry match up against Great Lakes Christian College. Tip-off is 7pm, following the women's game.
