Barrien Springs, MI - The Grace Christian Men's Basketball team traveled to Andrews University (Barrien Springs, MI) on Thursday.
The Cardinals kept it close and competitive for the first half. The Tigers went into halftime with a 6 point lead. The lead would only continue to grow into the second half, as Grace would shoot 50% from beyond the arc in the final 20 minutes. They would go on to defeat the Cardinals 96-56. All 10 Tigers would put points on the board, with 5 players in the double digits.
Zac Yorke led the team with 16 points, while
Bankeys Omari had 14.
Keontae Richards,
Isaac DeVisser, and
Allen Briggs all scored in the double digits as well, with 13, 12, and 10 points respectively.
On Saturday afternoon the team traveled to Circleville, OH for a match up against Ohio Christian University. It was a competitive game throughout, but the Tigers struggled offensively as they shot 14% from beyond the arc. The Tigers fell 61-71 to the Trailblazers. A double double by
Bankeys Omari led the team's efforts with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Zac Yorke chipped in 10 points.
The Tigers return to the Aldrich AC this Friday for a rivalry match up against Great Lakes Christian College. Tip-off is 7pm.
