Wyoming, MI - After a weekend on the road last week, the Tigers men's soccer team returned home to take on the Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders in a midweek rivalry matchup in what turned out to be a very physical afternoon. 

The Tigers came out strong on the offensive attack as they looked to jump out to an early lead. A Great Lakes penalty in the box led to a Nate Newberry PK. Newberry was able to cash in on the opportunity and give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. That would be the score going into the locker room at half time.

Early in the second half, Isaac VanderMolen was able to beat his defender down field and find the back of the net assisted by CJ Kazmerski to give the Tigers a 2-0. The Tigers would continue to remain in control as 30 minutes later Isaac VanderMolen would add another goal assisted by Nate Newberry to extend the lead to 3-0. 

The Tigers would go on to win 3-0 and shut out the Crusaders at home. The Tigers head to Iowa this weekend to take on Faith Baptist Bible College on Friday, and Emmaus Bible College on Saturday, both NCCAA opponents. Visit gracetigers.com for schedule, updates, and results.
