#1 Grace vs #4 Emmaus: Semi-Finals
Lansing, MI - Men's Soccer traveled to Great Lakes Christian College for the 2025 NCCAA Regional Championship. The Tigers entered the Regional as the #1 seed and were slated to take on #4 seed Eagles of Emmaus Bible College.Â
The Eagles opened the scoring just 15 minutes in as they were able to find the back of the net and take a 1-0 lead in the first half. 15 minutes later Isaac VanderMolen beat the Eagles keeper to even the score at 1-1. Just before the half Jacobo Ariza scored (assisted by Isaac VanderMolen) to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead headed into the locker room at Halftime.Â
Out of the locker room Emmaus earned an early penalty kick and were able to capitalize on the opportunity evening the game at two goals a piece. With just over 10 minutes to go in regulation Jacobo Arizia buried a penalty kick to take the 3-2 lead and send the Tigers to the Regional Finals to take on the #2 Maranatha Baptist University Sabercats.

The Championship match proved to be a defensive battle as neither team was able to gain the advantage in the first half. The Sabercats tallied 9 shots in the first half with three being on goal and Logan Werschem was able to come up with some key saves early for the Tigers.Â
The Tigers came out aggressive in the second half and just 5 minutes in Collin Kazmerski hammered one home assisted by Nate Newberry to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. That would prove to be the deciding goal as the Tigers would go on to win their fourth consecutive Regional Championship!Â
