Box Score 2 McKenzie, TN - The Grace Christian Softball team kicked off their second ever spring season in McKenzie, TN with a double header against Bethel University (TN). Their first game on Thursday afternoon resulted in a 2-10 loss to the Wildcats. Â
Game One
The Tigers scored the first run of the inning one following a hit by
Skylar Lowe, her first of two in Game One, in which she would be able to advance to home on a stolen base and a single by
Morgan Hall. The Wildcats answered back with a run of their own in the first inning, but the Tigers would pull ahead with a 2-1 lead in second inning. A single by
Kenzie Brothers followed by two more hits would send her home.Â
Bethel added 2 more runs in the third inning and ran away with an 8-run lead to end the game.Â
Game TwoÂ
The Tigers again fell to the Wildcats in Game Two 2-10. Lowe and
Kyra Kaboos scored one run a piece in the third inning, the only two runs of the game. Hall recorded 2 hits and
Emma Balkema had a double. Balkema was also on the mound for Grace and struck out 5.Â
Softball is back in action today for their second double header versus Bethel. Game times are 3 and 5 PM CST.
