Wyoming, MI - The Grace Tigers welcomed rival Great Lakes Christian College on Tuesday evening for a rematch. The two teams had previously met 3 weeks ago on the Crusaders' home court where Great Lakes prevailed and claimed a 4-point victory in overtime.
An evenly matched first half resulted in a 1-point lead for the Tigers going into halftime. However, a second half push by the Crusaders would give them the lead that they grasped and ran away with. The Tigers found themselves in a scoring slump, shooting 1 for 19 from beyond the arc. Great Lakes outscored Grace 21-7 in the final quarter as they claimed a 67-43 victory over the Tigers.
Sierra Fonseca and
Jessi Calizo led the Tigers' efforts with 17 points a piece. Fonseca also added 11 rebounds for her first double double of the season.
Grace Basketball is back in action at the Aldrich AC on Thursday as they host Appalachian Bible. Tip-off is 5pm.
