Box Score 4 Columbus, IN - Grace Softball was on the road last week for an 8 game road trip for spring break. Their stops were spread through Indiana and Kentucky throughout the week.
The week started off on Monday in Columbus, IN with a double header against Indiana University Columbus. Although the Tigers did not pull off a win, they showed much improvement as they scored 10 runs in the pair of games, 15 hits total, and pitcher
Emma Balkema struck out 7 in Game Two.
Grace continued their road trip as they traveled down to Kentucky on Wednesday for a pair of games against Midway University, followed by a pair of games against Berea College on Friday. Friday's double header resulted in a 2-0 sweep versus Berea, Grace's first wins of the season. On the mound for Game One against Berea was Balkema, who struck out 8. She also recorded a triple in Game Two with 3 hits total.
Kyra Kaboos ended with 3 hits and 3 RBIs as well.
Skylar Lowe led offensively for Grace in Game One with 2 hits and 2 runs.
Morgan Hall and
Lexie Alexander recorded 2 hits and 2 RBIs a piece.
The Tigers will host Muskegon Community College on Tuesday, March 18 for their home opener at Kellogg Woods Park. Game times are 3 and 5pm.
