Wyoming, MI - Ellie Hoeksema is coming to Grace Christian next year as a corner infielder out of Kalamazoo Christian High School in Kalamazoo, MI. Ellie was a four-sport athlete in high school, playing softball, basketball, volleyball, and bowling in which she earned all-conference honorable mention.

Ellie was awarded All-Conference and All-District honors for softball, and posted a .409 batting average her senior year. She set the career record at Kalamazoo Christian for On Base Percentage as well. She also was given the SAC Student-Athlete award by her school for her solid 3.82 cumulative GPA, and was awarded Academic All-State honors.

Hoeksema is "looking forward to meeting new people and starting this next chapter in [her] life away from home." 

Here's what Coach Clark had to say about Ellie: "Ellie is a solid fielder with a great arm. Her ability to see the play develop in the field and direct throws creates some extra outs defensively.  She has an excellent eye at the plate and squares up the ball. Her great attitude and team-oriented mindset will be an asset to Grace softball in 2025-2026."
