Wyoming, MI - The Grace Christian University Women's soccer team took on the Manchester University Spartans on Wednesday, September 24. The Tigers are coming off a tie against Defiance College a week ago and are looking to continue that defensive effort.
Early in the first half Manchester was able to create a scoring chance and find the back of the net to take an early 1-0 lead. A few moments later, Manchester capitalized on another great opportunity to go up 2-0. But the Tigers would answer back quickly with a PK goal by Natalie Johnson to cut the Spartans lead in half.
That would be the score going into the locker room at halftime. Manchester came out of the locker room attacking offensively. Goalkeeper Kenna Hill made a couple of great saves before Manchester was able to find the back of the net extending their lead to 3-1. Kenna Hill would make another great save before the end of regulation with the Spartans on top 3-1.
The Tigers next matchup is at home September 27th against Maranatha Baptist University at 12:00 PM at Velting Field. The Tigers are 2-0 in NCCAA Conference play and they are looking to continue that into the weekend. Visit us on
