Wyoming, MI - After suffering a tough loss on the road Wednesday night, the Tigers had an opportunity to bounce back right away as they returned home to take on the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist University on Thursday night. The Tigers had fallen just below the .500 mark at 9-10 and are looking to even the record back up.
The Sabercats jumped out to an early lead to start the game but the Tigers quickly responded and gained control of the first half led by Louie McCloud and Keontae Richards. Thanks to a solid defensive effort the Tigers went into the locker up 12 at the break.
The Tigers continued to play well defensively in the second half leading to several offensive opportunities which allowed them to extend their lead. The Tigers held the Sabercats to two three pointers in the game out of twenty attempts keeping them at 10% on the night.
The Tigers would go on to win 81-62. Louie McCloud led the Tigers with 12 points, Keontae Richards and Brad Coleman added 10 points apiece to the games total.
With the win the Tigers improve to 10-10 and get set for an important week next week as they prepare to host Great Lakes Christian College (Thursday) and Moody Bible (Saturday).
