The Grace Christian University softball program is excited to announce the addition of Macy Pruitt, a pitcher and first baseman from Jonathan Alder High School in Plain City, OH. Macy is the daughter of Daryl and Amanda Pruitt, and a younger sister to Courtney and Dustin.

Under Head Coach Dave McGrew at Jonathan Alder High, Macy has been a four-year starter and has led the team to a runner-up in the district in 2023 and a District Championship in 2024. She also competed in travel ball with the Central Ohio Pride.

When asked why she chose Grace to pursue her next steps, Macy responded, "I chose Grace because the people there made it feel like home. When I got to campus, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was able to connect with the players and the coach. The people and the location of the campus made it seem like I was making the right decision."

Macy will pursue studying Youth Ministry/Elementary Education at Grace.

On Macy's addition, Grace Head Coach Jeremy Clark said, "Macy is a smart, fundamentally sound softball player with a mentality for detail and doing things right.  From the circle, she hits her spots well, keeping hitters off balance with a variety of pitches and speeds.  She will be a great asset to Grace softball in the fall of 2026!"
