Grand Rapids, MI - The Men's JV Basketball season concluded their season this past weekend at the Cougar JV Tournament hosted by Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Tigers finished their regular season 9-11 on the year including big wins over Bethel, Kuyper, and Aquinas. 

The Tigers opened the tournament against Great Lakes Christian College who they have had several competitive matchups with earlier in the season. Unfortunately the Tigers would fall short in this one by a score of 73-81 sending them to the consolation bracket. 

Michael Donald did put together a solid offensive effort in this one leading the Tigers with 21 points, Julian Hardy followed closely with 19 points. 

In the consolation game the Tigers would take on the hosts, Kuyper college hoping to end their season on a high note. The Tigers would go into the locker room at the half with a sizable deficit, but thanks to the offensive effort of Javonta Jones they would storm back in the second half and go on to win 92-80 to cap off their season with a dub. 

Javonta Jones secured a 26 point, 14 rebound double-double, and Julian Hardy also collected a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Overall, the Tigers had a solid season and look forward to getting back on the court with a fresh squad next season!
