Baseball Opens Spring Break in the Win Column

Bonifay, FL  – Grace baseball opened up their Spring Break trip in Bonifay, Florida where they put together a big offensive performance Tuesday afternoon to secure a 10–5 victory over Mid Atlantic Christian University. The Tigers used a six-run third inning and timely hitting throughout to rally past MACU.

After a 3-0 deficit through two frames, the Tigers exploded in the bottom of the third inning, plating six runs to take control. Grace's rally was led by a flurry of hits and aggressive baserunning that put pressure on the MACU defense.

One of the offensive standouts was Gavin Kleidon, who finished with a multi-hit performance and drove in runs during the big third inning. Moises Lerma also contributed with key hits and scored a run, while Ethan Edmondson provided extra-base power with a triple and came around to score as part of the Tigers' surge.

Defensively, senior pitcher Kaleb Blaskowski earned the victory on the mound, going five innings while allowing just three earned runs and striking out four. His steady effort kept Grace in the game early and set the tone for the offense to rally. Relievers John Sanocki and Ryan Mullins closed things out, preserving the lead in the final innings.

Grace's balanced attack continued into the fourth and fifth innings, adding runs with contributions from Dale Westphal and Aiden Pavlacka, helping extend the lead and keep MACU at bay. The Tigers' offense finished with 11 hits in the contest.

The Tigers continue their spring break in Tennessee as they will take on Alice Lloyd College in a four game set over the weekend.
