Wyoming, MI - Women's Volleyball welcomed the Kuyper College Cougars to the Aldrich Athletic center for a cross town matchup on homecoming weekend at Grace Christian University.
The Tigers got off to a hot start going on a 5-0 scoring run to start the evening and from their they never looked back. The Tigers would take the first set by a final of 25-14. The second set was more of the same as the Tigers were firing on all cylinders led by an impressive offensive attack by Alexa Borgman. The Tigers would take the second set 25-11 and head into the third set looking for a sweep on homecoming weekend.
The third set proved to be the toughest test of the night for the Tigers. They opened up to an early lead but Kuyper wouldn't go away easy as they slowly started to close the gap. But the Tigers would pull away in the end, put the game away, and complete the sweep by a final of 25-21.
The Tigers were led on offense by Alexa Borgman who finished the match with 16 kills. Delaney Sommers tallied 25 assists, and Madison Postma led the Tigers with 10 digs. The Tigers also had an impressive night serving as well as Madison Postma, Alexa Borgman, and Kelsie Muldoon all tallied 5 aces a piece.
