Origianlly from Spring Lake, MI, Peets played alongside Coach Wolfe at Calvin University as one of the team's go-to relief pitchers. Though his senior year was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Peets had a strong first 3 years of performance which earned him the nickname "Mr. Consistency" by his coaches for his ability to throw a strike whenever needed. While at Calvin, Peets studied Sports Management, and continued on to complete his MBA at Grand Valley State University.
From 2022-2024, Peets worked for the Detroit Tigers in their performance science division, working closely with the West Michigan Whitecaps (High-A affiliate). Along with coaching at Grace, Peets served as the pitching coach in 2024 for an Athletes in Action summer team based in the prestigious Alaska Baseball League, the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks. There, Peets worked with many NCAA Division I & II pitchers, and his staff posted a team ERA under 5.00. Following his work in Alaska, Peets was asked to travel down to Argentina with Athletes in Action to help teach the players and coaches more about pitching in both a classroom and practice setting.
Outside of coaching, Peets also gives private pitching lessons and builds custom homes in his uncle's family business. In his spare time, Peets likes to go golfing, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
