Sean Wilson

2024: Coach Wilson inherited a team rebounding from a canceled season in 2023 due to a shortage of players. With a strong recruiting push, Wilson was able to not only revive the program, but see success in his first year leading the team. The Tigers finished with a 4-11 record, beating Andrews University twice and Mount Mary (NAIA) twice. In addition to these wins, the girls demonstrated a level of resiliency and positivity that sparked excitement around campus for the growing program.

Prior to this role: Wilson has been involved with Grace Soccer since 2017, when he began as assistant coach for the men's soccer team. He has many years of experience coaching both men and women's club teams in the Muskegon area along with coaching in the semi-professional ranks for the Grand Rapids Wanderers and United West organization. Most recently, Wilson has become an assistant director for Soccer Club of Rockford, MI.

"After six plus seasons as an assistant coach for the men's team I really felt that now was the time for me to take on this challenge," commented Coach Wilson. "I have learned so much from other coaches and mentors including my parents, Mark and Rebecca Wilson, my high school coach Ken Erny, and from Coach Buchanan and the other men on his staff. I have really come to love Grace and the culture we have built here. It is my goal and mission to grow this culture and to reach the potential I know this program has. God has blessed me with another amazing opportunity and I am so grateful to be in a position where I can continue to grow in my own faith but also guide others on their walk as well. I am incredibly excited to get to work on the recruiting trail and to start building relationships with the players already on campus."
