Wyoming, MI - The Grace Tigers men's soccer team topped the Finlandia University Lions on a chilly afternoon at Velting Field on Friday.
Senior
Nick Pilieci would put Grace on the board first, scoring off of a perfect through ball from senior captain
Ryan Wilson. Freshman Leo Garcia made a huge play to give the Tigers some wiggle room, creating space and centering a perfect ball to
Franklin Rodriguez-Arias who ripped the ball into the top of the net. Sophomore
Ethan Savoy was able to shed some Lions defenders to create a clean shot and put the Tigers up 3-1, which would end up being the final score.
Freshman
Drew Steensma contributed 7 saves for the Tigers.
The Tigers return to action next Friday in Grayson, Kentucky against Kentucky Christian University, their regional rival and currently the #1 ranked team in the NCCAA DII.
