Rochester, MI – For the second time in 5 days, the Grace Christian University women's basketball team hit the road to face an NCAA Division I opponent, this time the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies. The Tigers would battle hard to stay within a single digit deficit for the majority of the first half of play before allowing a late run by the Golden Grizzlies to close the 2
nd quarter with a 46-27 disadvantage. Oakland would carry momentum into the second half, dominating the third period and opening the game up en route to a 94-48 victory when it was all said and done.
Junior
Miranda Carlson led the Tigers with 23 points and 5 rebounds on the game.
"If you compare our first 6 games of the year with everyone else in our division – you won't find a tougher start to the schedule," commented Grace Head Coach
CB Long. "It's not about the first 6 games, it is about the last. After tomorrow, we get back to our normal schedule."
The Tigers play their fourth game in five days Wednesday at 5:00 pm against Muskegon Community College at the Aldrich Athletic Center.
