Box Score Wyoming, MI – The Grace Tigers men's JV basketball squad closed out their season Friday night at the Aldrich Athletic Center against Aquinas College's JV team. In what turned out to be a rollercoaster of a game, the Tigers fell 78-68.
They would carry a six-point lead into half after a couple awesome sequences of events, including one where freshman Craig Whittaker made a highlight chase down block on defense and sophomore Mike Warren would throw in a huge slam dunk on the other side of the floor. The Saints surged at the beginning of the second half to take the lead and extend it to a nine point advantage. The Tigers would make one last run at the end, but the Saints were able to hold them off and close out the win.
Warren finished the game with a team-high 25 points. Sophomore Jason Long had 15 points. Freshman Thomas Hill had 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
With the loss, the Tigers JV finishes their season 9-11.
