Grand Rapids, MI - The Grace women's soccer team held strong against a top-tier Aquinas College Saints team on the road in their season opener Monday night, eventually falling 3-0. The Saints struck at the 20 minute mark in the first half, and that would be the only score in the first 45 minutes of play. The Tigers would allow two quick goals near the start of the second half to let the Saints take a 3-0 lead. The two defenses would hold strong for the remainder of the game, resulting in the 3-0 final.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Regan Befus finished with 11 saves on the night.
The Tigers will take the field again at Earlham College in Richmond, IN next week on September 5th.
