Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Grace women's soccer loses close one to Earlham College

Richmond, IN - The Grace women's soccer team suffered a setback in a very competitive game Wednesday afternoon at Earlham College.  An equalizing goal from Tigers sophomore Maddie Brown at the beginning of the second half would immediately be matched by Earlham, as they took a 2-1 lead and held it for the remainder of the game.  The Tigers saw plenty of other chances, but could not capitalize.  Sophomore goalkeeper Regan Befus did all she could to keep Grace within striking distance with 9 saves.

Though it was an unfortunate outcome, Head Coach Scott Teesdale went away from the game thinking positive after a great battle against an NCAA DIII school.

"I was happy with our effort today and we had a few chances to tie it late in the game. Regan was great in goal and kept it close with some big saves. We have many areas where we can improve and will be working to get ready for KCU Saturday."

The Tigers match-up with Kentucky Christian University on Saturday at Velting Field at 2:00 pm holds high stakes for regional and national tournament seeding. Come on out to support the girls in their home opener!
