Wyoming, MI – The Grace women's soccer team dominated from start to finish Tuesday evening, recording an 8-0 win over Andrews University. They jumped out to give themselves a quick cushion, scoring the first four goals in a matter of minutes.
In the past four games, the difference between the Tigers and their opponent has been one goal or less, so Tuesday's game was also a great opportunity for Head Coach
Scott Teesdale to give his substitutions some quality experience and minutes.
Junior
Maddie Brown led Grace with 2 goals and 2 assists. Her 2 goals put her just 6 away from Debbie Pekel's career goal record of 56. Juniors
Brandy Weaver and
Alicia Contreras both recorded 2 assists as well. Sophomore
Regan Befus recorded a shut out in the first half and proceeded to score a goal playing in the field in the second half.
The Tigers move to 3-5-1 on the year heading into a huge match-up with NCCAA DII rival Maranatha Baptist University this Friday at 4:00 pm at home. You won't want to miss it!
