Manitowac, WI – The Grace Christian University women's basketball team finished the weekend 1-1 in Wisconsin, defeating Mount Mary University (NCAA DIII) on Friday and then falling to Silver Lake College (USCAA DI) on Saturday.
With the game tied up after three quarters against the Blue Angels of Mount Mary on Friday, the Tigers rallied to outscore them 16-7 in the final period, resulting in a 61-52 win. Junior Miranda Carlson scored 20 points and pulled down a team-high 8 rebounds.
The Tigers could not find their groove late in the game against Silver Lake College, as the Lakers outscored the Tigers by 15 in the second half to finish on top Saturday night, 64-45. Freshman Bre Harris was the only Tiger in double-figures scoring with 16 points. As a team the Tigers saw some cold shooting spells, connecting on only 1-15 shots in the 2nd quarter and 2-12 in the 4th quarter.
Grace moves to 10-14 on the season heading into a regional match-up with Great Lakes Christian College at home on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.
