Whiting, IN - The Tigers struggled on the road in their return to action after the holidays against Calumet College of St. Joseph (NAIA DII) on Thursday night, falling 60-36.
As a team, the Tigers forced 25 turnovers from CCSJ, but recorded a season-high 32 turnovers and shot just 22% from the field, a season-low. The game was played close at the beginning, but the Tigers were just not able to get anything going offensively in the second half to threaten the Crimson Wave, resulting in the 24-point loss.
No Grace players found double-digits in scoring, with junior Brandy Weaver leading the way with 8 points. Freshman Ashley Hoek had 9 rebounds.
The Tigers look to rebound next Tuesday at home against NCCAA DII opponent and longtime rival Maranatha Baptist University. Tip-off will be at 4:00 pm.
