Wyoming, MI – The Grace Christian University women's basketball team struggled mightily in the first half to put the ball in the hoop on Tuesday against Maranatha Baptist University. After going into the half down 28-18, they immediately stormed out to a 10-0 run to tie things up and went on to grind out a big 52-47 comeback victory over the #6 Sabercats.
Junior Miranda Carlson topped the box score with 20 points to go with 9 rebounds. Freshman Ashley Hoek recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Bre Harris stuffed the stat sheet with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.
The Tigers move to 8-11 on the year and will likely retain their #5 ranking in the NCCAA DII. They head to Kissimmee, Florida this morning for a couple big games in the sunshine state to cap off the week, starting with a match-up against NCCAA DII #2 Pensacola Christian College.
