Dearborn, MI – The Grace Christian University men's basketball team followed up a quality 23-point win on Friday night at home with a trip out to University of Michigan-Dearborn early the next morning.
After about six minutes of play the teams were knotted at 15-15 and all things pointed to a good game shaping up, but then the Tigers would hit a wall. A 35-13 run from UM-Dearborn to finish the half would leave Grace with a 22 point deficit and in need of a huge spark in the second half. Unfortunately, UM-Dearborn came out with that spark and an 11-2 run would put the Tigers all but out of reach.
All 14 Tigers saw a good amount of minutes against a quality UM-Dearborn side, experience that will prove to be beneficial, especially for the newcomers.
Adam Kregel,
Brandon Winchester-Jones, and
Jerome Cobb all scored 10 points for the Tigers, and Kregel led the Tigers with 8 rebounds.
Kellum Bridgeforth led the Tigers with 3 assists.
Grace hits the road and returns to the court against another NAIA opponent, Siena Heights University, this Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
