Tigers storm back for thrilling comeback win on senior night

Wyoming, MI – In resilient fashion, the Grace Christian University volleyball team closed out their regular season Wednesday with a 3-2 win over Jackson College.  The win came in front of an energetic crowd at the Aldrich Athletic Center in a game where seniors Emma Summerfield and Chloe DeVries were honored before the game on senior night.

In the first set, the Tigers found themselves down 23-19 but would storm back for a thrilling 28-26 set win to go up 1-0.  The next two games were all Jets, and the Tigers found themselves down 10-4 in the fourth set after falling behind 2-1 in sets, and things were looking grim.  At this point the Tigers dug deep and flipped the switch and dominated the remaining portion of the match, winning the fourth set 25-21 and the deciding set 15-7.

Sophomore Ashley Hoek had a monster of a match, with 21 kills and 6 blocks.  Megan Postma added 15 kills.  Emma Summerfield recorded 4 serving aces and a team-high 23 digs.
