Wyoming, MI – After grinding through perhaps their toughest stretch of the season filled with away games against top-tier opponents, the Grace Tigers women's basketball team returned to the Aldrich Athletic Center and cruised to a 96-17 exhibition win over Lake Superior State's JV squad.
Head Coach CB Long and his staff were able to get every player on the roster significant minutes, gaining some much needed experience for some, and some much needed rest for others.
The team dished out 30 assists, pilfered 19 steals, and pulled down 63 rebounds. Seven players finish in double figures scoring, led by Emily Libey with 18 points. Megan George led the Tigers with 7 assists, and Ashley Hoek controlled the paint with 13 rebounds and 8 blocks.
Grace returns to the floor Wednesday morning at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit, MI, facing Great Lakes Christian College in a big regional match-up. Tip-off will be at 11:00 am, followed by the men's game between Grace and Great Lakes and the Detroit Pistons versus the Milwaukee Bucks later on at 7:00 pm.
