After finding themselves down double digits at halftime, the Tigers chipped away at the lead in the third quarter and then dominated the final period 16-7 to escape with the win.
Emily Libey led the Tigers with 18 points, including multiple baskets down the stretch to help lift her team to victory. Ashley Hoek finished with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and was a dominant force on the defensive end with 7 blocks and 3 steals. Megan George finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and a team high 3 assists. Miranda Carlson saw her first action after returning from an ankle injury, and also chipped in two timely three point shots for the Tigers late in the game.
The Tigers now sit at 4-10 on the season, but they are 1-0 in the NCCAA DII after their first divisional game of the season. They follow up with a home game against Holy Family College (formerly Silver Lake College) on Saturday at 3:00 pm on Grandparent's Day.
