Wyoming, MI - The Grace Tigers women's basketball team got out to a good start and never looked back Saturday afternoon against Holy Family College, starting the game on a 14-0 run and finishing with a 75-51 win at the Aldrich Athletic Center.
Â
Bre Harris played in her last game of the regular season, as she is scheduled for surgery later this week, and finished with one of her best games despite having only one good wrist. Her final stat line was 10 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. She also went the entire game without committing a single turnover, which was key from the point guard spot.Â
Ashley Hoek had a great game inside for the Tigers, contributing a team-high 22 points and 12 rebounds.Â
Megan Scholtens had 14 points and
Megan George had 11 to round out the Tigers in double figure scoring.Â
Â
"This season has begun to turn in the right direction, moving onward, overcoming obstacles, and being blessed to play for the honor of God," commented Grace Head Coach
CB Long. "It's going to be exciting what this team can do moving forward."
Â
Up next for the Tigers is an away game against Lake Michigan College this Friday at 5:30 pm and then a home match-up to follow on Saturday afternoon against Kalamazoo College at home at 1:00 pm. Â
