Grand Rapids, MI – The Grace women's soccer team faced a tough test Friday night, traveling to Cornerstone University for a match-up with the NAIA Golden Eagles on the road.  After the game resulting in a tie in 2017 and 2018, both teams were determined to bring their best since they knew it would be required of them. 

After battling for a scoreless first 36 minutes of the game, Cornerstone was able to put in a goal to break the tie and then two minutes later kicked in another score to go up 2-0 headed into the halftime break.  Though they put three shots on the Golden Eagles' goal, the Tigers could not chip away at the lead in the second half, ultimately falling to Cornerstone by a score of 4-0.

Junior Regan Befus had a season- high 13 saves for the Tigers.

Grace returns to their home Velting Field this Tuesday at 5:00 pm, taking on Cleary University.
