Knoxville, TN – After a very tough stretch of four games against NAIA schools to start the new year, the NCCAA #3 Grace Christian University women's basketball team returned to the winning column Saturday afternoon, defeating regional rival Johnson University-TN on the road, 74-59.
Junior
Ashley Hoek recorded 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks and junior
Bre VanVleet added 16 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals to lead the Tigers.
Megan George added 15 points, and
Emily Libey filled the stat sheet with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
The Tigers, now 3-8 on the year, will look to carry momentum from the win to another road trip next weekend in Circleville, OH, where they face Ohio Christian University on Friday and Saturday.
