Rockford, IL – The Grace Christian University Volleyball team closed out their regular season with a weekend-long quad match at Rockford College this past Friday and Saturday. The Tigers faced stiff competition in all four games, preparing them for what lies ahead – the 2021 NCCAA DII Regional Tournament.
The Tigers fell to two NCAA DIII schools the first day in Rockford College (3-1) and Marian University (3-0), and then dropped matches to NCCAA DII Top 10 teams Maranatha Baptist University (3-0) and North Central University (3-0) on Saturday. Individual stats and leaders for each game can be found on the schedule page.
"We played really good competition this last weekend," said Grace Head Coach
Kerri Shultz. "Our first day of games we struggled finding our groove a bit, but we also learned a lot. By our second day, we were really working well together and playing to our potential and that reflected in our scores against Maranatha. I'm happy we found some rhythm before regionals next week!"
The Regional Tournament will be held at Appalachian Bible College in Mount Hope, WV on November 11-13. Stay tuned for seeding and specific game time releasing in one week.
