Louisville, KY – After a stretch of three straight losses, the Grace Christian University men's basketball team bounced back in a big way Thursday evening against a quality NCCAA DII opponent in Toccoa Falls College (GA) on a neutral floor at Boyce College.
The Tigers had a comfortable lead for the first 15 minutes of the game after jumping out to a quick double-digit advantage, but the Toccoa Eagles made a run at the end of the half and the beginning of the second half to take a three-point lead just a few possessions in to the final period. At this point, the Tigers put together a run to re-capture the lead and finished the game strong for a convincing 91-70 victory.
Kierson Watts led Grace in his first action of the month of November with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals – all team highs.
Eli Carlson followed with 14, while
Parker Neu and
Kellum Bridgeforth chipped in 13 apiece. Bridgeforth also recorded 6 assists and 0 turnovers on the night.
The Tigers are right back in action in their second and final game of the Boyce College classic against Trinity Baptist College at 5:30 pm tonight.
