Louisville, KY – The Grace men's basketball team returned home from their road trip to the Boyce College Classic in Kentucky unscathed, following Thursday's win against Toccoa Falls College with an 80-72 victory over Trinity Baptist College (FL) on Friday.
"We are getting closer to being at full strength and you can tell by the way we're playing right now," said Grace Head Coach
Gary Bailey. "Not perfect but starting to settle in and know everyone's roles. Getting Kierson back makes a big difference in this team. We felt like we got two good wins against two really good south region teams this weekend. It was fun getting to play some teams outside of the normal in our division."
Kierson Watts led the Tigers for the second straight game with 28 points. Both
Cole Powell and Kellum Brigeforth recorded double-doubles, Powell with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Bridgeforth with 10 and 14. Bridgeforth also had team-highs in assists and steals with 5 and 3, respectively.
The Tigers return to the court in Allendale, MI Tuesday night to face the NCAA DII Grand Valley State University Lakers.
