Rochester Hills, MI – It was the second straight week with a challenging tri-match for the Grace Christian University volleyball team, as they faced Rochester University and University of Michigan-Dearborn Wednesday evening on the eastside of the state.
The bright spot of the night was the Tigers' one set win, in which they cruised to a 25-16 win in the second set of the first match. They couldn't find that same groove the rest of the night against two talented NAIA opponents, falling 3-1 to Dearborn and 3-0 to the host Rochester Warriors.
Megan Postma led the Tigers on the night with a combined 5 aces, and also recorded 18 kills.
Morgan Martin had 26 kills in both matches. Dana du Chemin recorded 43 assists to lead the team, and
Eleyna Zichterman had a team-high 42 digs.
"We really fought hard last night against some really good teams," said Grace Head Coach
Kerri Shultz. "Our effort and focus was better than last week's matches, and I know we can just keep improving!"
The Tigers are now 3-5 on the season and their next action is a regional match-up against Great Lakes Christian College next Tuesday the 21
st in Lansing, MI.
