Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Grace Christian University Tigers men's basketball team enjoyed 4 days down south in the beautiful state of Florida recently. They started their trip with a free day in Orlando, where they visited Universal Studios. They then would travel even further south and unfortunately suffered two tough losses on back to back afternoons to a very solid team from the University of Fort Lauderdale. Their trip was capped off Sunday with another 24 hours to soak up the sun before a return flight early Monday morning.
After a rough outing on Friday where they fell to the Fort Lauderdale Eagles by a score of 90-63, the Tigers would battle the Eagles in a very competitive game on Saturday but ultimately would fall 77-72 despite the better effort and a career-high 27 points from guard
Eli Carlson. Turnovers would be their demise, as the Tigers committed a season-high 33 turnovers in Saturday's loss and 25 in Friday's setback.
Next up for the Tigers, now sitting at 14-12 on the year, is a huge game Tuesday night at 7:00 pm at the Aldrich Athletic Center against the Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders. The Crusaders, an NCCAA DII regional opponent, are currently ranked #1 in the National Top 10 rankings and they got the best of them Tigers in their first game of the year just a short week ago at Little Caesars Arena, winning 93-89.
