Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Tigers Secure First Win Against Ohio Christian University

Wyoming, MI - Grace Christian Men's Soccer came out strong Tuesday evening as they defeated Ohio Christian University 4-1 in their first victory of the season.

Senior Camden Bierling got the team's momentum going in the first half after Ohio Christian scored the first goal of the match. Bierling headed the ball into the goal, which was assisted by Nathan Davis, knotting the score at 1-1. Davis assisted two more goals, one more in the first half to freshman Kameron Link and another to freshman Gabriel Lenius in the second half.
Again in the second half of the game, Kameron Link scored yet another goal making the score 4-1, which was assisted by his twin brother, Kaiden Link

Junior, Luis Vicario, recorded 5 saves on the night in goal.

"It was a good first win of the year. We were disappointed to give up a free kick goal, and have them go ahead against the run of play, but that provided a good test for the boys to respond, and this young group did a great job," Head Coach Dustin Buchanan stated. "Camden Bierling finally got one of his headers in the net to get a goal back and the rest we really just took over. Kameron Link had a great match and was influential with his play. Really proud of the way the boys handled the match, staying disciplined in a game that had some intense situations."

The Tigers are home again this Friday as they face Indiana Wesleyan University at 5pm.
