Wyoming, MI - On Saturday afternoon the Grace Women's Basketball team welcomed Indiana University Columbus to the Aldrich AC for an afternoon match up.
Off to a slow start, the Tigers found themselves down 8-22 at the end of the first quarter. The Crimson Pride continued their strong performance into the second quarter, with a lead of 15 going into the half.
The shorthanded Tigers played a better second half against IU Columbus, as they began hitting some threes and were able to bring the score within 8 in the fourth quarter. However, it was not enough for the Tigers, as they would fall 55-76 to the Crimson Pride.
Freshman
Sierra Fonseca led Grace with 23 points, while
Emilee Klacking added 15.
Jessi Calizo recorded 6 rebounds.
The Tigers, now 1-8, are back in action on the road this week as they travel to Bethel University (IN) on Thursday. Tip-off is 6pm.
