Wyoming, MI - The men's basketball team hosted Aquinas College on Thursday night for a crosstown match up. From tip-off, the two teams were very evenly matched. In a back and forth battle, the first half consisted of several lead changes with both teams keeping it within 5 points throughout. Going into halftime, the Tigers led by two, 38-36.

The Tigers carried a 53-52 at the eight minute mark of the second half, but Aquinas would capture the lead at that point and held it for the rest of the game. Grace would have multiple opportunities to recapture the lead in the later stages of the game, but could not hit the necessary shots to get over the hump. A final push by Aquinas would result in a 71-66 victory over the Tigers.

Allen Briggs and Bankeys Omari led offensively with 20 and 13 points respectively. Omari also grabbed 7 rebounds. Up next, Grace will travel to Dearborn to face University of Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday, January 11.
