Berrien Springs, MI - Women's volleyball went on the road Tuesday to Berrien Springs, Michigan to take on the Andrews University Cardinals. This would be the second meeting of the year between these two teams. The Tigers came away with a 3-0 victory over the Cardinals a week ago.The Tigers enter into this matchup 6-7 on the year and look to climb their way back to the .500 mark on the year. 

The first set started off with both teams fighting for momentum. The Tigers started to pull away but Andrews was able to string together a run to even the score. Tigers Chloe Harig was then able to go on an impressive run with a few key aces to allow the Tigers to pull away and come away with a 25-20 first set victory. 

The Tigers got off to a hot start in the second set opening the scoring with a 9-0 run before Andrews was able to get on the board. The second set would prove to be all Tigers as they went on to a 25-12 win, hoping to complete the sweep in the third set. 

The Tigers would do just that, getting off to another hot start, and solid defense, leading to a good offensive effort, and capitalizing on a couple of Cardinals miscues lifted the Tigers to another 25-12 victory completing the sweep on the road. 

Alexa Borgman led the offensive attack with 15 kills, Delaney Sommers had 21assists, Kyrsten Nolen collected 25 digs on the night, and Chloe Harig had an impressive 6 aces on the night. The Tigers next matchup is Friday, October 10 when they will travel to Watertown, Wisconsin to take on the Maranatha Baptists University Sabercats. Visit gracetigers.com for more information.
