Wyoming, MI - Grace hosted the Kuyper College Cougars in the first of two meetings this season on Wednesday night. The "Cross Cup" was on the line (a trophy that is held by the winning school until the next time it changes possession). Grace currently held the cup.
The game was close the whole way through as anticipated. After trailing at halftime 33-40, the Cougars held a small lead consistently through the second half. With 4 minutes left in the game, Grace was able to cut the deficit to just 5, but that would not be enough as Kuyper held on to the lead and ended up winning by a final score of 80-71.
For Grace,
Keontae Richards led the way in scoring with 25 points.
Brayden Gable finished with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
Aiden Burns also finished with 10 points.
The Tigers next game is again at home vs the Eagles of Judson University on Saturday at 3pm.
